Description
Maple Terroir has added delicious maple stroopwafel, traditionally from the Netherlands, to its fine collection of Canadian maple products. This is a waffle made from two thin layers of baked dough with a pure maple syrup filling in the middle. The stiff dough for the waffles is made from Canadian flour, butter and eggs. Balls of dough are put into a heated waffle iron and baked, and, while still warm, split into thin, layered halves. The warm filling, made from syrup, cane sugar, butter and pure maple, is spread between the waffle halves, gluing them together. Maple Terroir stroopwafel is a perfect complement to their maple coffee and tea.
